Job Description
Industrial Engineer at American Tire Distributors enhancing supply chain performance. Collaborating with teams to implement lean operating procedures and optimize processes.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with leadership and teams to enhance supply chain performance and productivity.
- Design and implement standard lean operating procedures across the extensive network, including last mile delivery.
- Evaluate new and existing operational layouts and propose racking alternatives that support facility stocking plans and optimize units per square foot.
- Evaluate current operational processes and develop dynamic labor standards.
- Lead the development and delivery of training to support the rollout and continuous optimization of these standards.
- Perform audits of standard operating procedures to ensure accuracy.
- Perform root cause analysis of performance and process variations across sites.
- Propose operational process alternatives with appropriate cost/benefit analysis.
- Collaborate across multiple internal departments to scale and implement continuous improvement ideas.
- Support Labor Incentive Programs by analyzing data to support calibration and adjustments to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent working experience
- 5 - 7 years of relative working experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Applications
- Effective at Facility Design software (AutoCAD or comparable)
- Knowledgeable in Facility Design standards
- Working knowledge of SQL Server and/or Python.
