Job Description
IT and security generalist operating identity, endpoint, automation, and security workflows. Supporting Galileo’s data-driven healthcare practice through monitoring, incident response, and secure systems.
Responsibilities:
- Administer identities in Okta, including users, groups, applications, and device trust
- Manage the MacBook fleet through MDM, including enrollment, configuration, compliance, and remote actions
- Monitor and refine automated onboarding and offboarding workflows and handle exceptions
- Maintain and extend lifecycle, monitoring, and reporting automation, including GenAI-assisted triage
- Monitor workflows, fix failures, and retire obsolete automations
- Build automation for manual company processes in collaboration with process-owning teams
- Respond to endpoint, cloud, and identity security alerts within SLAs
- Investigate and document security events and escalate incidents according to procedure
- Support vulnerability management by reviewing findings, tracking remediation, and reporting status
- Participate in application security reviews of engineering changes, integrations, and vendor connections
- Review authentication, authorization, and data-handling patterns
- Help engineering establish secure defaults
- Maintain automated audit evidence collection and investigate gaps
- Prepare evidence samples for SOC 2 and HITRUST assessments
- Handle workforce support requests requiring system access or judgment
- Write and update end-user documentation
Requirements:
- 4-5 years of experience in fast-moving IT, security operations, or systems administration environments, or equivalent proven experience
- Working knowledge of identity systems (Okta or equivalent) and macOS administration
- Some scripting experience and understanding of fundamentals
- Experience with workflow automation tools, LLMs, and APIs, or a strong interest in learning them
- Familiarity with security fundamentals: authentication, least privilege, and logging
- Clear written communication and ability to explain problems, decisions, and status concisely
- Ability to take responsibility for work, monitor systems, and fix issues
- Ability to exercise judgment and communicate blockers
- Exposure to HIPAA, SOC 2, or HITRUST environments (nice to have)
- AWS or GCP administration (nice to have)
- Experience with EDR, SIEM, or cloud security monitoring tools (nice to have)
- Security certification in progress or completed (nice to have)
