Job Description
Junior QA Engineer testing PerfectServe’s healthcare communication and physician scheduling software. Building automated tests while supporting manual validation in a remote-first environment.
Responsibilities:
- Learn, develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts under the guidance of more senior automation team members.
- Participate in the creation and execution of test cases, test plans, and test scenarios based on business requirements.
- Shift between manual validation and automation work depending on delivery timelines, feature complexity, and team needs.
- Build technical testing knowledge, including exposure to automation frameworks, scripting, CI/CD, and quality engineering best practices.
- Communicate effectively in a remote environment, including maintaining an active on-camera presence during meetings when expected.
Requirements:
- Some prior technical experience in software testing, automation, scripting, development, or a related technical area OR a bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or another programming/technology-related field from an accredited higher education institution.
- Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and/or Agile delivery practices.
- Familiarity with test automation concepts and an interest in building skills in automation tools and frameworks.
- Exposure to one or more programming or scripting languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, or C#.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to communicate with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp.
- Visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information.
