Job Description
Senior Quality Assurance Analyst leading manual and automated testing for H&R Block’s tax products. Validating requirements, usability, and end-to-end system performance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead quality efforts across the full development lifecycle
- Define and validate business and functional requirements
- Develop comprehensive testing strategies, test plans, and test cases
- Document defects and provide well-considered workarounds for customer issues
- Propose process improvement ideas, implementation strategies, and actionable plans
- Design and execute thorough manual test cases
- Leverage test automation tools to improve test coverage and efficiency
- Perform end-to-end functional testing using manual and automated executions
- Investigate production defects and champion customer requirements
- Review product documentation and train others on product functionality and testing practices
- Design tests reflecting real-world customer usage and customer feedback
- Collaborate with User Experience teams to develop usability tests
- Provide feedback on marketing requirements documents
- Participate in inspection and review processes for non-code deliverables
- Create detailed work plans documenting goals, designs, and outcomes
- Evaluate and prioritize alternative approaches to meet objectives effectively and efficiently
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience
- 5 years minimum related work experience
- Knowledge of manual and automated testing practices
- Ability to develop testing strategies, test plans, and test cases
- Ability to document defects clearly and thoroughly
- Deep product knowledge and test design principles
- Ability to perform end-to-end functional testing
- Ability to investigate production defects and advocate for customer requirements
- Ability to review product documentation for accuracy and clarity
- Ability to collaborate with User Experience teams on usability tests
- Ability to create, review, and approve requirements and design documentation
- Ability to evaluate and prioritize alternative approaches
- Ability to create detailed work plans for technical and non-technical audiences
