Job Description

KYC Specialist responsible for maintaining KYC programs and conducting due diligence for financial services. Collaborating with senior management and handling urgent compliance issues centrally at TD.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains TD’s KYC programs, including frameworks, methodologies, procedures, awareness and monitoring
  • Conducts periodic and event-driven KYC due diligence reviews of customers, including targeted reviews as per KYC Ops Policy to assess risks as needed.
  • Ensures that work products are fit for purpose and audit/regulator ready
  • Suggests process improvements to drive better results from efficiency, accuracy, or quality of work product
  • Leads initiatives to help bring these improvements to fruition.
  • Works with senior management to ensure that special projects are brought to fruition
  • Acts as a technical expert/lead integrating cross-function understanding within their own field of specialty
  • Independently manages end-to-end functional programs
  • Solves or may lead others to solve complex problems; leads efforts or partners with others to develop new solutions
  • Communicates difficult concepts; converts information to compelling business context and advice; influences and gains alignment across increasingly senior stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent professional work experience
  • 6+ Direct experience in financial services or similar industries including fraud, know your customer, anti-money laundering, sanctions screening, or similar roles for new joiners.
  • 10+ years' experience in an unrelated role involving information fluency, investigation, research, or financial services broadly but not specifically KYC or AML.
  • Proven track record of excellence through metrics or manager discretion
