Job Description
Lead logistics analyst optimizing DIRECTV’s nationwide inventory, forecasting, and materials management. Driving supply chain improvements across distribution facilities and mentoring logistics analysts.
Responsibilities:
- Lead inventory planning, master scheduling, materials handling, and inventory turnover processes across multiple distribution facilities
- Coordinate supply and demand activities across multiple business units
- Analyze data and trends to develop forecasting models, stocking strategies, and inventory policies
- Lead policy, process, and systems improvements for materials management
- Develop objectives and action plans aligned with company goals
- Lead or contribute to logistics projects, managing timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication
- Resolve complex logistics and supply chain issues independently
- Establish and administer inventory and materials management policies, procedures, and systems
- Partner with procurement, operations, sales, and finance teams
- Mentor and provide technical direction to less experienced analysts
- Monitor inventory turns, service levels, and forecast accuracy; report insights to management
- Support audits and administrative controls for compliance
Requirements:
- Advanced professional with deep, specialized expertise in logistics and supply chain management
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Experience in inventory planning, demand forecasting, master scheduling, and materials management
- Proficiency with supply chain planning systems, such as ERP/WMS platforms
- Advanced Excel or data analysis tools proficiency
- Forecasting or inventory optimization software experience preferred
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional activities and influence stakeholders without direct authority
- Experience leading projects or initiatives
- Prior mentoring or technical guidance experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, or inventory/materials management, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or related field preferred
- APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification a plus
- May require a background check
- Ability to travel 10%
