Job Description
Salesforce Engineer Lead building scalable CRM solutions for an IT services company. Leading Apex, Lightning, integration, automation, and Salesforce development practices.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and support scalable enterprise solutions on the Salesforce platform
- Work with Product Managers, Architects, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and cross-functional engineering teams
- Deliver CRM capabilities, integrations, workflow automation, and customer-centric digital experiences
- Develop and maintain Salesforce capabilities, new features, integrations, and automation
- Design, develop, unit test, and deploy secure, scalable Apex solutions, including triggers, batch jobs, REST services, and Lightning Components
- Write, optimize, and debug SQL queries across standard and custom objects in complex data models
- Develop and maintain REST/SOAP API and Platform Events integrations
- Analyze requirements and translate technical requirements into Salesforce solutions using configuration or customization
- Troubleshoot, train, and support end users
- Communicate proactively with stakeholders and partners
- Guide feature prioritization with product owners and stakeholders
- Ensure security compliance, scalability, coding standards, CI/CD deployment processes, and data integrity
- Design and manage complex integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems
- Provide guidance and code reviews for junior team members
- Evaluate new Salesforce features, including Agentforce, to improve business efficiency
- Develop guidelines and documentation
- Provide high-tier technical support for system changes and best-practice adoption
- Lead the Salesforce development team and recommend cost-effective, sustainable solutions
- Perform higher-level Salesforce configuration and mentor users
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field
- 6+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer
- Strong hands-on experience in Apex, Flows, SOQL/SOSL, Visualforce, and Salesforce DX (SFDX) development
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Foundational experience in Java for web application development
- Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Workato, Platform Events, and OAuth-based authentication
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning Platform, including LWC, Aura, and Lightning AppBuilder
- Experience with reusable component architecture and UI optimization
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex technical requirements into business-friendly language
- Experience developing in complex Salesforce environments, including business process configuration, security, and reporting
- Experience with automation and understanding of interactions between people, processes, and systems
- Excellent organizational skills and experience working in Agile environments
- Ability to work with XML, Java, and web service-based integrations
- 4+ years of experience working in Agile Scrum environments, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release cycles
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
