Job Description

Leasing Consultant converting housing leads into leases for Corvias, a military-community housing solutions provider. Managing remote calls, applications, payments, and occupancy goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer ongoing leasing program efforts to achieve program objectives as defined by organizational goals
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of lease terms, specifications, community policies, products, inventory, promotions, market conditions, and competitor communities
  • Answer prospect and lead incoming calls promptly and professionally from a home-based call center
  • Engage and advance prospects, following up until a tour is scheduled and a home is found within the Corvias portfolio
  • Convey the benefits of residing in Corvias communities and the services offered to generate leases
  • Guide prospective residents through the leasing process via virtual communication
  • Process residency applications, prepare lease agreements and occupancy-related documents, and collect prorated rent, security deposits, and application fees
  • Audit and review applicant waitlists daily and manage home assignments to minimize vacancy loss
  • Resolve prospective resident concerns and issues
  • Meet call, communication quality, performance, and occupancy goals while adhering to fair housing regulations and relevant laws
  • Build collaborative relationships with leasing, resident, and on-site team members and prospective residents
  • Leverage leasing software and CRM tools to streamline communications, facilitate conversions, and maintain data integrity
  • Coordinate background and credit checks with external vendors
  • Track leasing progress from initial contact through closing and countersigning residential lease agreements
  • Ensure a smooth transition from lease signing to move-in inspection with the on-site Community Leasing Associate
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of prior work experience in sales, marketing, leasing, hospitality or customer service
  • Active listening skills necessary to remain attune to prospective renters' needs and identify what is driving or hindering progress toward closing residential lease agreements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate information and ideas with clarity and precision through phone, email, and text communication
  • Ability to take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and achieve results with little oversight
  • Must be independent, self-motivated to be productive and efficient, and possess a positive attitude, operating well in a remote team environment that is focused on collaboration and accountability
  • Detail and process oriented with the ability to adhere to program guidelines and standard operating procedures and workflows to maintain efficiency and operational consistency
  • Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills with proven ability to engage and make connections with prospective residents from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and customer needs
  • Demonstrable proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability; willing to seek assistance/guidance when needed
  • Ability to work in a remote setting and manage multiple and competing priorities in a fast paced, dynamic environment, while being attentive to details
  • Customer-focused with empathy for the customer experience
  • Computer proficiency, including working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software
  • Proficiency utilizing customer relationship management tools to track interactions, manage leads, and follow up effectively
