Job Description

Mainframe security architect / RACF Architect Consultant primarily working on enterprise RACF and USS security solutions. Leading architecture, design, and deployment of security project solutions while collaborating with various teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the assessment, scoping, and architectural design of strategic RACF and USS security project solutions
  • Define target-state architectures and technical designs
  • Support deployment of security solutions
  • Assess technical feasibility and trade-offs of proposed solutions
  • Collaborate with various teams to gather requirements
  • Create and maintain security monitoring, automation, and reporting solutions
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of related experience
  • Expert-level, hands-on knowledge of IBM RACF and IBM zSecure
  • Deep expertise in z/OS UNIX System Services (USS) security
  • Proven ability to lead solution architecture activities
  • Proficiency with JCL, REXX, and CARLa
  • Experience with core z/OS utilities and facilities
  • Working knowledge of database technologies and query tools
  • Experience implementing and supporting mainframe authentication and encryption capabilities
  • Broad understanding of z/OS infrastructure disciplines
  • Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management best practices
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results
  • Strong project planning, organization, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office business applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative team player
