Job Description
Mainframe security architect / RACF Architect Consultant primarily working on enterprise RACF and USS security solutions. Leading architecture, design, and deployment of security project solutions while collaborating with various teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the assessment, scoping, and architectural design of strategic RACF and USS security project solutions
- Define target-state architectures and technical designs
- Support deployment of security solutions
- Assess technical feasibility and trade-offs of proposed solutions
- Collaborate with various teams to gather requirements
- Create and maintain security monitoring, automation, and reporting solutions
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators
Requirements:
- 12+ years of related experience
- Expert-level, hands-on knowledge of IBM RACF and IBM zSecure
- Deep expertise in z/OS UNIX System Services (USS) security
- Proven ability to lead solution architecture activities
- Proficiency with JCL, REXX, and CARLa
- Experience with core z/OS utilities and facilities
- Working knowledge of database technologies and query tools
- Experience implementing and supporting mainframe authentication and encryption capabilities
- Broad understanding of z/OS infrastructure disciplines
- Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management best practices
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results
- Strong project planning, organization, time management, and multitasking skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office business applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative team player
