Job Description

Manager Coding Compliance tasked with ensuring proper charge capture and coding compliance in orthopedic surgery operations. Supervising staff and interacting with faculty for revenue maximization and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Handles day-to-day operations of charge capture activities assuring compliance and maximizing revenue.
  • Supervises Coding Coordinators for timely charge capture and revenue maximization.
  • Directly interacts and communicates with faculty on coding, charge capture, compliance and billing issues.
  • Performs compliance duties such as review of medical documentation and physician audits.
  • Develops educational material and conducts regular meetings with faculty for improvement methods.
  • Assures staff attend scheduled training.
  • Communicates policies on billing to staff for efficient flow.
  • Monitors weekly charges and approves write-offs as per policy.
  • Creates TES and Medicode edits to reduce reductions.
  • Serves as compliance liaison to WU Office of Physician Billing Compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
  • Supervisory experience (5 Years).
  • Skills: Accounting, Code Compliance, Coding Compliance, Compliance Management, Healthcare Auditing, Health Care Regulation, Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA), ICD Coding, Medical Billing and Coding, Organizing, Supervisory Management, Trend Analysis, Trend Reporting.
