Job Description
Manufacturing Engineer performing engineering analyses and supplier transitions for Quest Global, an end-to-end engineering solutions provider. Managing technical reviews, project schedules, milestones, and stakeholder reporting for aerospace and other industries.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Engineering Part Analysis (EPAs)
- Execute Transition Design Reviews (TDRs)
- Identify export requirements
- Review engineering drawings for content, notes, accuracy, legibility, and other noteworthy findings
- Evaluate the difficulty of transitioning suppliers and identify roadblocks
- Investigate and implement source control parts for compliant alternatives
- Follow drawing updates and approvals in the PLM tool
- Manage and report on project schedules, budget, and priority
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure data is captured and ready for presentation to chief engineering staff
- Ensure EPA and TDR milestones are met
- Provide direction to team members and assist with presentation creation
- Perform internal and technical reviews to ensure deliverable quality
- Report project status during regular internal and external meetings, including status updates, assumptions, information needed, and overall program health
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent years of experience
- 3–5 years of relevant experience
- Ability to read and understand part drawings
- Knowledge of engineering mechanics and strength of materials
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity or interest with the aerospace industry desired
- EWI/Rich Client experience is a plus
- Teamcenter and SAP experience valued
- Product supplier transition experience is a plus
- Previous leadership experience is a plus
- Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent business management and developmental skills
- Team/management and organizational skills
- Ability to express technical information clearly and simply
- Ability to work as a team member in a technical project environment
- Must be self-motivated and able to think 'outside the box'
