Job Description

Marine Engineering Cadet/Trainee supporting advanced offshore vessel operations. Join DOF's Marine team and gain essential skills for future marine engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the maintenance and operations of advanced offshore vessel operations.
  • Provide hands-on experience and essential skills for future marine engineers.
  • Commit to safety and embody company's core values in activities executed.

Requirements:

  • Available to commence as an Engineering Cadetship in early 2026.
  • Hold a trade qualification recognised by AMC (Australian Maritime College); such as Marine Engine Driver 2 qualification.
  • Currently enrolled in AMC and completing a Bachelor of Applied Science (Marine Engineering) or equivalent is ideal.
  • Demonstrate some offshore experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • The ability to obtain and hold a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
  • Strong communication and teamwork.
  • The ability to work with people from varied backgrounds.
  • Compliance with all work, health and safety practices at all times.
  • Demonstrate a flexible, adaptable and resilient approach to meet vessel and company demands.

  • Able to relocate to complete educational course requirements as and when required.
