Job Description

Mechanical Engineer designing mechanical systems and HVAC for building projects. Responsibilities include design, documentation, and technical support during construction phases.

Responsibilities:

  • The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the analysis, design, and documentation of mechanical systems for building projects.
  • This role includes HVAC system design, preparation of construction documents, coordination with other disciplines, technical support during construction, and participation in Property Condition Assessments (PCAs).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field
  • Experience designing mechanical systems for buildings
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, and building systems
  • Familiarity with relevant mechanical codes and standards
  • Ability to perform independent engineering calculations
  • Experience preparing or contributing to Property Condition Assessment (PCA) reports
  • Proficiency with engineering design and documentation software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Revit or similar BIM software
  • Experience with load calculations and energy analysis tools
  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure
