Job Description
Medical Scientific Liaison advancing AstraZeneca’s cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic medicines across Romandie. Building scientific partnerships and leading real-world evidence initiatives for AstraZeneca.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a scientific expert in the field through high-level scientific exchanges
- Build and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with external experts
- Identify unmet medical needs and generate relevant insights
- Report directly to the Lead Medical Affairs CVRM
- Develop and implement medical strategy within the brand plan and Transform Healthcare Delivery Plan
- Build relationships with key external experts to understand the Swiss market and clinical landscape
- Represent AstraZeneca in the medical and scientific community with credibility, balance, and objectivity
- Collaborate with Regulatory, Market Access, Marketing, and other functions on field-related medical matters
- Support CVRM portfolio compounds throughout their lifecycle
- Contribute to local, regional, and global clinical research programs
- Contribute to externally sponsored research projects
- Lead real-world evidence generation projects with the brand team across the product lifecycle
- Provide medical and scientific expertise to medical and cross-functional activities that improve disease management and patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Professional experience within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in a Field Medical or Medical Affairs role; other relevant backgrounds considered
- University degree in a health-related scientific discipline, such as an MD or PhD
- Expertise in cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic disease areas
- Proficiency in French and English
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to effectively engage a variety of audiences
- Valid driver's licence
