Job Description
Full-stack engineer building RoomStay’s booking platform for hotels, motels, resorts, and holiday parks. Developing TypeScript, React, Node.js, APIs, integrations, and database-driven features.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack features across the RoomStay platform
- Work across frontend and backend technologies
- Develop responsive, accessible, and high-performing web applications
- Build and maintain APIs, integrations, and database-driven functionality
- Work with payment systems and transactional workflows
- Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions
- Improve performance, reliability, security, and maintainability
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards
- Collaborate with product, design, and business stakeholders
- Own assigned projects from development through production
- Contribute to ongoing platform development and improvement
Requirements:
- Commercial experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer / Developer
- Strong experience with TypeScript and/or JavaScript
- Experience with React and modern frontend development
- Backend experience with Node.js
- Experience with Next.js or a similar modern web framework
- Solid SQL/database experience
- Experience building and consuming APIs
- Understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing, version control, and code reviews
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot problems, and make sound technical decisions
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, remote-first mindset
- Experience with payment systems, payment gateways, or other transactional platforms would be highly desirable
- Experience using AI development tools or integrating AI-powered functionality into production applications would be advantageous
