Job Description
News Editor/Reporter joining a global publishing team at 1840 & Company. Responsible for editing news and providing coverage with a strong focus on professionalism and detail.
Responsibilities:
- Copyedit press releases, cover news developments, and provide event coverage.
- Demonstrate strong work ethic and professionalism.
Requirements:
- Solid editing skills with a sharp eye for detail and excellent command of grammar and punctuation.
- Ideally 5+ years of news writing/editing experience.
- Knowledge of AP style is a must.
- BA/BS in Technical Writing, Journalism, Communications, English, or equivalent is a plus.
- Strong research and investigative skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills; a good sense of humor is mandatory.
- Dedicated, ambitious, quick, confident, and serious.
- Comfortable working with explicit subject matter.
- Must be a team player.
