Job Description
News Editor for a global publishing team covering events and editing press releases. Seeking individuals with strong editing skills and a degree in journalism or related fields.
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day duties will include copyediting press releases
- Covering news developments
- Providing coverage of events/happenings
- Seeking a news editor/reporter for a publishing team
Requirements:
- Must have solid editing skills with a sharp eye for detail and excellent command of grammar/punctuation
- Ideally 5 yrs or more of news writing/editing experience
- Must know AP style
- BA/BS in Technical Writing, Journalism, Communications, English, or equivalent a plus
- Solid research/investigative skills
- Interpersonal, networking skills and good sense of humor are mandatory
- Dedicated, ambitious, quick, confident and serious
- Must be comfortable working with explicit subject matter
- Must be a team player
- Full-time, part-time and freelance opportunities available.
