Job Description
Offshore Finance Officer processing transactions and reconciliations for Smart Energy, an Australian home electrification and renewable energy retailer. Supporting reporting, payroll, credit control, and month-end close for onshore finance teams.
Responsibilities:
- Process daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice matching, data entry, and billing
- Reconcile daily bank statements, corporate credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
- Assist with monthly financial reports, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain the general ledger and accurately code income and expenses
- Monitor outstanding debtor accounts and conduct credit control and payment follow-ups
- Support payroll processing and review expense reports as required
- Ensure task documentation and financial records comply with company policies and relevant standards
- Work with offshore and onshore finance, payroll, operations, sales, and customer service teams
- Handle basic payment and billing inquiries from suppliers, vendors, and clients
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPAP, CPA, or ACCA qualification listed under required education/experience
- Minimum 4 years of proven experience in a dedicated accounting or finance officer role
- Prior offshore, remote, or outsourced experience preferred
- Proficiency in cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, SAP, Oracle Financials, or Salesforce
- Experience with ERP systems
- Strong working knowledge of Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
- Proficiency with office productivity tools
- High accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong time-management skills and ability to work independently to tight deadlines
- Must be located in the Philippines
- Ability to work 09:00–17:00 AEST, Monday–Friday
