Job Description

Online Internet of Things professor teaching undergraduate and graduate students for DeVry University. Developing courses, assessments, and responsible AI-enhanced learning experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Internet of Things and related fields
  • Facilitate student learning in accordance with DeVry University requirements
  • Develop course syllabi and lesson plans aligned with course and programmatic objectives
  • Provide approved syllabi containing terminal course objectives
  • Organize, prepare, revise, and update course materials
  • Use online technologies and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions
  • Model effective oral and written communication to engage students and improve learning
  • Publish course objectives, assignment and examination dates, and evaluation weight distributions
  • Ensure exams align with course terminal objectives
  • Prepare and grade exams consistently and fairly
  • Provide timely feedback to students
  • Integrate responsible AI technologies into classroom teaching and learning
  • Recognize, evaluate, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering required, or master's degree in a related area with 18 graduate credit hours in Electrical Engineering
  • Preferred certifications: IoTF, CIoTP, CIoTS, AIoTD, CIoTA, CIoTE, or related certification
  • Upload unofficial graduate-level transcripts with the application
  • Degree must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or by an internationally equivalent accredited institution
  • Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply
