Job Description

Online Web Development Professor teaching undergraduate and graduate students for DeVry University. Developing courses, facilitating learning, and integrating technology and responsible AI practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate student learning by teaching undergraduate and graduate courses according to DeVry University requirements
  • Develop approved course syllabi, lesson plans, and terminal course objectives
  • Organize, prepare, revise, and update course materials
  • Use online technologies and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions
  • Model effective oral and written communication to engage students and improve learning
  • Set course expectations, objectives, assignment and examination dates, and evaluation weightings
  • Ensure exams align with terminal course objectives
  • Prepare and grade exams consistently and fairly, providing timely student feedback
  • Integrate responsible AI technologies into classroom teaching and learning
  • Recognize, evaluate, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree required
  • 18 graduate credit hours in the subject being taught
  • Unofficial graduate-level transcripts must be uploaded with the application
  • Degree must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or by an equivalent internationally accredited institution
  • Additional requirements may apply based on state licensing or accreditation considerations
  • Requisite subject matter expertise
