Job Description
Part-Time Virtual Endocrinologist providing virtual care to patients with endocrine disorders. Offering flexible hours in a collaborative team environment at ChristianaCare.
Responsibilities:
- Provide virtual care for patients with diabetes and general endocrine disorders
- Manage routine, acute, and complex endocrine conditions, such as Diabetes, Thyroid disorders, Pituitary disorders, and Adrenal disorders.
- Interpret diagnostic studies and develop individualized treatment plans
- Manage insulin pump and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) therapies
- Collaborate with advanced practice clinicians, nurses, diabetes educators, and support staff
- Complete timely documentation, coding, and billing within Epic
Requirements:
- MD, DO or foreign equivalent
- Residency trained in Internal Medicine and Fellowship trained in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology
- Must hold or obtain Maryland medical licensure and DEA and be eligible for Delaware licensure and DEA
- Must have strong virtual communication and patient engagement skills, including comfort using video technology
- Telehealth experience preferred
