Job Description
Payroll Accountant processing German payroll for Eternity Systems’ reusable-packaging cleaning business. Managing DATEV calculations, statutory reporting, and payroll support remotely or from Voerde.
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage the accurate and timely monthly payroll process for all locations
- Accurately calculate salaries, special payments, and deductions using DATEV Lohn & Gehalt
- Handle statutory notifications, reporting, and certification requirements for social security institutions, tax authorities, and other relevant organizations
- Electronically retrieve and process certificates of incapacity for work and other payroll-relevant data
- Serve as the point of contact for all locations regarding payroll-related questions
- Coordinate and correspond with health insurance funds, social security institutions, and government authorities
- Continuously optimize payroll processes
- Support the HR department with administrative tasks and HR projects
Requirements:
- Completed commercial training or comparable qualification, preferably with a focus on payroll
- Several years of professional experience in payroll accounting, ideally in a multi-location environment
- Very good knowledge of wage tax and social security law
- Experience with DATEV payroll systems; experience with LODAS / Lohn & Gehalt is an advantage
- Structured, accurate, and independent working style
- Discretion, reliability, and a high sense of responsibility
- Strong communication skills and team spirit
