Job Description

People Business Partner supporting ClickUp’s PLGTM organization, an AI workspace unifying tasks, docs, chat, calendar, and search. Advising managers on performance, employee relations, talent, and AI-first workforce transformation.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers across the PLGTM organization
  • Provide guidance on performance, team dynamics, and people decisions
  • Help leaders navigate growth, change, and organizational complexity
  • Support performance cycles, including goal setting, reviews, and performance improvement plans
  • Partner on talent reviews, internal mobility, and team transitions
  • Identify retention risks and support leaders in addressing them
  • Triage and resolve employee concerns
  • Guide managers on sensitive people matters and escalate appropriately
  • Coach managers through feedback, performance conversations, and conflict resolution
  • Provide tools and frameworks for effective management
  • Track and manage employee cases and requests using ClickUp
  • Identify patterns in employee questions or issues and recommend process improvements
  • Support rollout of people programs
  • Use AI tools for research, drafting, summarizing, and administrative processes
  • Build and maintain AI agents and automations for repetitive people work
  • Coach managers on AI-driven role design, skill expectations, capacity planning, and performance standards
  • Champion AI adoption across the PLGTM organization
  • Monitor emerging AI capabilities and translate them into practical people-process improvements

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of experience in a People Business Partner, HRBP, or similar role
  • Experience supporting teams in high-growth or fast-paced environments preferred
  • Strong understanding of employee relations and performance management
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
  • High judgment and discretion when handling sensitive issues
  • Organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Genuine enthusiasm for AI
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools in day-to-day work
  • Bias toward automating workflows and willingness to rethink how work gets done
  • AI fluency is evaluated as part of the hiring process
  • Unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for roles outside engineering and product
