Job Description
Platform & Integration Engineer building reliable Azure, Workato, and API integrations for Hickory. Automating delivery and solving complex platform challenges with global client teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain system integrations across Hickory's technology environment via APIs, webhooks, and integration platforms
- Own and extend Workato or equivalent iPaaS automations
- Ensure reliable, well-monitored data flow between systems
- Develop and maintain Azure-based cloud infrastructure and services
- Write and maintain scripts and small applications to extend integration capability
- Apply version control and CI/CD practices
- Contribute to solution architecture and technical design
- Apply AI tools to improve integration development and troubleshooting
- Support API management, monitoring/observability, and security/identity configuration
- Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical solutions
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years relevant experience
- Experience with Azure or another major cloud platform
- Hands-on experience with Workato or a comparable integration/iPaaS platform; Workato preferred but not essential
- Solid understanding of APIs, webhooks, and common integration patterns
- Programming or scripting proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or C#
- Practical experience with version control such as Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Working AI literacy and comfort using AI-assisted tools
- Experience contributing to solution architecture or technical design
- Strong practical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with a delivery focus
- Good communication skills
