Job Description
Production and quality specialist overseeing seed packet production, inventory, logistics, and supplier coordination for Back to the Roots. Managing quality control and Amazon replenishment operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day execution of the seed packet production program
- Coordinate production, quality, inventory, logistics, and replenishment activities
- Manage production purchase orders from creation through receipt
- Maintain visibility into finished-goods inventory across the network
- Coordinate with copackers, suppliers, warehouses, 3PLs, and internal teams
- Ensure products are produced in the right quantities and meet quality and packaging specifications
- Support e-commerce and Amazon replenishment, including Amazon FBA inventory and seed packets for Amazon bundle production
- Monitor finished packets against established specifications
- Investigate quality issues and coordinate corrective actions with production partners
- Document and resolve quality issues
- Identify supply or service risks before they impact customers
- Improve production performance, quality, inventory accuracy, customer service, and operating cost
Requirements:
- 2–5 years of experience in supply chain, production planning, procurement, logistics, inventory, quality, or a related field
- Experience working with suppliers, manufacturers, copackers, warehouses, or 3PLs
- Experience managing purchase orders, production schedules, inventory, replenishment, or logistics
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills with the ability to analyze and work with operational data
- Experience with an ERP system; NetSuite experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow issues through to completion
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external production partners
- Comfortable identifying problems, investigating root causes, and driving corrective actions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities and production requirements can change quickly
- Experience with e-commerce, Amazon, CPG, agriculture, seed, food, or manufacturing is preferred but not required
