Job Description
Profee Coder responsible for medical coding in a family practice clinic. Analyzing records and ensuring compliance while working remotely from various US states.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates medical records and assigns appropriate clinical diagnosis and procedure codes
- Analyzes medical information from medical records and accurately codes diagnostic and procedural information
- Provides thorough, timely and accurate coding according to productivity and quality standards
- Abstracts clinical diagnoses and procedure codes into electronic medical records
- Ensures compliance with coding rules and regulations according to regulatory agencies
- Works independently under regular supervision utilizing specialized knowledge for accurate assignment of codes
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in E/M Family Practice coding
- Must be currently certified through AAPC or Ahima
- At least 6 months of production coding experience
