Job Description
Resource Analyst forecasting and coordinating clinical staffing for Thermo Fisher Scientific’s global clinical research services. Managing assignments, projections, reports, and resource requests across therapeutic areas.
Responsibilities:
- Forecast, track, and identify resource allocation needs, assignments, and availability for assigned projects
- Support efficient utilization and forecasting of clinical labor needs in assigned geographical areas
- Evaluate resource allocation and help ensure appropriate project-team composition across therapeutic areas
- Track resource needs and assignments; coordinate intake, follow-up, and resolution of resource requests
- Maintain the project module in the system
- Evaluate resource requests, availability, and assignments with other areas
- Identify staff for assignments based on client requirements, employee background, therapeutic requirements, geography, and availability
- Lead weekly resourcing meetings and distribute resourcing reports
- Update roll-off dates and assignments for clinical resources
- Coordinate, track, and distribute CVs; liaise with the CV administrator group
- Liaise with internal departments regarding future work, RFPs, and bid defense meetings
- Use resourcing dashboards and tools to reconcile and quality-control departmental reports
- Prepare monthly resourcing projections and utilization reports for senior management
- Identify and submit proposals of available resources
- Undertake projects to improve and streamline the resourcing function, including long-range metrics and projections
- Mentor and assist in training new staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
- 2+ years of comparable experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Knowledge of project resourcing and forecasting and applicable tracking/forecasting tools
- Proficient in MS Office, including Outlook and Excel
- Effective problem-solving and facilitation skills
- Knowledge of relational databases and ability to generate reports
- Ability to gather, interpret, and evaluate information from varied resources
- Good quantitative and analytical ability
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and multitask with little supervision
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of expectations and resourcing needed to effectively staff project teams
- Occasional drives to site locations
- Potential occasional travel required
