Job Description
Revenue Cycle Specialist processing insurance claims and collections for Infinx, a healthcare revenue cycle technology company. Supporting patients, payors, and provider accounts through payment resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Process, review, and file insurance through claim payment resolution
- Assist patients with billing questions and collection of patient balances
- Perform insurance billing and collections functions, including Medicaid/Medicare claims, according to established policies and procedures
- Collect and enter patient insurance information into the ACS Compumed System
- Review, verify, and submit insurance claims
- Process correspondence from third-party payors and respond to patient requests
- Follow up with insurance companies and ensure claims are paid in a timely manner
- Resubmit insurance claims that have received no response
- Answer telephones and provide or obtain information to resolve billing and collection issues
- Maintain supporting billing information for future reference or audit purposes
- Complete billing process functions independently or as part of a team across multiple client accounts
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of revenue cycle experience covering at least two of the following: eligibility/benefits verification, demographic/registration data integrity, billing and claim edit resolution, AR follow-up, or denial management
- Physician claim billing experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of the insurance industry
- Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type correspondence
- Skilled in using computer programs and applications
