Job Description
Senior Revenue Cycle Specialist managing payment posting, reconciliations, claims, and audit support for healthcare analytics company Cotiviti. Serving as a Revenue Cycle subject matter expert and mentor.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Revenue Cycle knowledge
- Collaborate with the Team Lead to develop and oversee new-hire onboarding materials and training
- Complete or monitor organizational processes accurately, on time, and in compliance with policies and regulations
- Track processes and prepare quality reports for management
- Analyze and implement procedural changes to improve performance, efficiency, revenue, and margins
- Resolve errors and exceptions
- Identify revenue-cycle improvement opportunities and implement solutions
- Serve as a key contact for departments, clients, and audits; research and resolve issues and outstanding claims
- Post payments and adjustment transactions to collection and client systems
- Reconcile posted bank transactions, monthly bank statements, deposits, and cash-posting databases
- Research and distribute payments lacking invoice numbers or dates of service
- Prepare and record financial transactions and maintain audit reporting
- Maintain knowledge of compliance and recovery laws governing processing and recoupment
- Meet department productivity, quality, and process standards
- Use Cotiviti, client systems, web systems, filing systems, word-processing, spreadsheet, and PowerPoint tools
- Support audit activities, solve problems, and mentor team members
Requirements:
- 2–4 years of related experience and/or Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or five (5) years relevant experience preferred
- Minimum of two years of financial and/or business-related experience
- Proficiency in MS Excel required
- Access strongly preferred
- Knowledge of revenue cycle practices
- Healthcare experience a plus
- Ability to work both in a team and independently
- Excellent organizational ability to handle multiple priorities
- Understanding of Cotiviti Core Values, Strategic Pillars, and Operations Disciplines
- Ability to provide a dedicated, secure work area
- Ability to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance
