Job Description
Senior Scrum Master coaching Agile teams to deliver high-quality products at Astreya. Fostering team growth and driving continuous improvement in a scaled Agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Coach, mentor, and guide multiple Agile teams in delivering high-quality products
- Facilitate Scrum/SAFe ceremonies including PI Planning, Iteration/ Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Scrum of Scrums, Backlog refinements, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives for multiple cross-functional teams
- Partner with Product Owners to ensure backlog refinement, prioritization, and healthy sprint commitments
- Track and communicate key Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time, lead time) to stakeholders and leadership
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of experimentation and learning
- Mentor junior Scrum Masters and contribute to the Agile Center of Excellence
- Collaborate with engineering managers, architects, and delivery leads to align team execution with organizational goals
- Support release planning and coordinate dependencies across teams in a scaled Agile environment (SAFe or similar)
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach working with software development teams
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, XP) and scaled agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus) - Preferably SAFe Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM II/III); SAFe certifications are a plus
- Proven experience working with distributed/remote teams across multiple time zones
- Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar
- Strong analytical skills with ability to leverage metrics for data-driven decision making
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to influence without authority
