Job Description
Scrum Master supporting the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in Agile practices. Mentoring teams and managing project deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives) and oversee backlog prioritization
- Maintain JIRA and other information radiators for the teams
- Mentor and coach team members on core Agile values, principles, practices, and processes
- Enable team to become self-organizing and self-managing to achieve goals
- Develop release plans and ensure product backlogs are prioritized and visible
- Identify, address, and communicate project risks, dependencies, and team impediments
- Build a trusting and safe environment for problem solving
- Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and maintain dashboards to measure team performance
Requirements:
- 1+ years of related experience in Agile development environment
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business, computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Agile Certified Scrum Master (PMI-ACP) or equivalent Agile project management certification
- Expertise in Agile project management tools (e.g., ServiceNow Agile, Jira, Confluence)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work rapidly in a high tempo environment
- Experience with software development or working in a software development organization
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines and DevOps concepts
- Fluency in English
