Job Description
Security Analyst investigating alerts and incidents for nuHarbor’s managed cybersecurity services. Executing response actions and escalating high-severity findings for client protection.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor client environments and triage security alerts
- Analyze security alerts, events, and trends
- Conduct independent investigations, including complex or high-severity findings, through disposition and escalation
- Execute containment and response actions, including host isolation, process termination, and indicator blocking
- Document tickets with evidence trails, investigative reasoning, and disposition rationale
- Operate SIEM, MDR, mXDR, and operational incident response tooling
- Identify security gaps and mitigations in client environments
- Communicate with internal support teams and clients
- Participate in scheduled client security operations meetings
- Generate reports to nuHarbor standards and schedules
- Develop, implement, and improve documentation
- Identify process improvement opportunities
- Flag noisy, low-fidelity, or broken detections for review
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- In lieu of a degree, two (2) years of experience in a related technology field and relevant industry certifications are required
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience with Splunk Enterprise Security, CrowdStrike Falcon, and/or Microsoft Sentinel
- Ability to explain simple hardening methods for network and process detections
- Familiarity with common endpoint security best practices
- Demonstrated knowledge of incident response concepts and procedures
- Advanced understanding of security technologies used to mitigate cyber risks, and ability to communicate that knowledge
- Understanding of common network services and attacks against them
- Previous experience in technical support or security-focused role
- Willing and able to work Sunday - Thursday 12:00am - 10:30am ET
- Must be authorized to work within the United States
