Job Description
Senior Accountant II handling SEC reporting and financial statement preparations at Robert Half. Analyzing complex financial data and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 8-K, 10-Q, and 10-K
- Responsible for compliance with XBRL, including data tagging and custom tag definition
- Perform GAAP and SEC technical research and communicates findings to senior management
- Assess impact of new accounting pronouncements on financial statements
- Create and maintain monthly reporting package for senior management
- Interface with management to answer questions and provide variance explanations
- Analyze monthly financial results and prepare variance analysis
- Provide financial data to senior management and other corporate departments
- Create and maintain complex reporting layouts and spreadsheets
- Maintain the external reporting process maps
- Perform ad hoc GAAP and accounting policy research
- Produce complex PowerPoint slides containing financial results for executive presentations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA strongly preferred
- 7+ years’ accounting/financial analysis experience, including 2+ years’ SEC reporting experience
- Thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- MS Office, including advanced skills in Excel
- Financial ERP experience (PeopleSoft preferred)
- Experience with business intelligence tools
- Strong planning, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Highly effective written and communication capabilities with all levels of management and staff
- Proven ability to work independently and meet strict reporting deadlines.
