Job Description
Senior Backend Developer at Skoobe focusing on Python and backend technologies in a remote setup within Germany. Seeking experienced developers passionate about coding principles and collaborative work.
Responsibilities:
- Work as a part of our backend team and be responsible for diverse and challenging backend development efforts
- Design and implement robust and scalable services
- Ensure high uptime and meet scalability needs
- Write and maintain tests to improve software quality
- Automate recurring tasks, help us simplify operations
- Design and communicate new API features
Requirements:
- 7+ years experience designing and writing backend applications
- Experienced in at least 2 programming languages
- Extensive development experience in Python
- Bonus if you have worked on Java or C/C++ projects before
- Fan of coding principles and best practices
- Extensive knowledge of web and backend technologies, esp. asynchronous programming and caching
- Extensive knowledge of relational databases, preferably MySQL
- Experience with Docker.
- Knowledge of container-orchestration systems is a plus.
- You are smart and adaptive, able to learn new technologies and get things done
- Comfortable in an English-speaking work environment.
