Job Description
Senior Golang Backend Engineer scaling analytics systems for BlueThrone’s global mobile products. Building APIs, migrating Node.js services, and optimizing data, caching, messaging, and infrastructure for millions of users.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and evolve backend systems in Golang supporting millions of active users
- Design architecture and ensure systems run smoothly at scale
- Build clean, reliable, intuitive APIs for frontend and other engineering teams
- Work with complex data flows, caching, and messaging
- Maintain and extend existing Node.js services during the migration to Golang
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks
- Collaborate with product, frontend, and data teams
- Ship quickly, iterate, introduce ideas, challenge assumptions, and raise backend engineering standards
Requirements:
- 5+ years building backend systems at real scale
- Strong Golang backend experience
- Experience designing scalable architectures and REST APIs
- Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and Elasticsearch
- Hands-on experience with Redis and RabbitMQ
- Confidence with Nginx, Kubernetes, and deployment pipelines
- Node.js experience is a major plus
- Mobile app experience on iOS or Android is a plus
- Ability to work autonomously in fast-changing environments
- Willingness to work across new Golang services and existing Node.js code
