Job Description
Backend Engineer at AssetIntel developing software solutions for transportation infrastructure. Collaborating in an agile startup environment to build effective backend services and products.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and web applications in a highly collaborative environment.
- Contribute to the complete technology stack, especially the backend and databases.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Continuously innovate and strategize on making our applications faster and more resilient.
- Prioritize and manage work while adhering to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Participate in code reviews and troubleshoot production issues.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a backend or full-stack developer.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, time and space complexity, and object-oriented programming (OOP).
- Knowledge of database design and a strong understanding of SQL queries.
- Experience designing and maintaining APIs.
- Experience working with cloud-based systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-driven and able to contribute as part of a small team.
- Experience working with JavaScript and/or JavaScript frameworks is a big plus.
