Job Description
Senior Backend Software Engineer developing backend systems and APIs for Dailymotion's video platform. Collaborating with a team of engineers and product managers to enhance video processing systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop backend systems via REST APIs
- Design and improve video processing systems (scheduling, state machines, processing tasks)
- Design and enhance the video upload system
- Apply analytical capabilities to Big Data challenges at the scale of multiple petabytes of video
- Work closely with Architects, Product Managers, and Scrum Masters
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in backend architecture and development (backend services, automated testing)
- Strong object-oriented design skills and practical experience with one or more of the following languages: PHP, Go, Python, Java
- Proficiency with a containerization solution: Docker or Podman
- Experience building REST APIs
- Experience with SQL databases; NoSQL experience is a strong plus
- Experience developing and deploying applications on cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- English level B2 (documentation, presentations, meetings)
- French required
