Job Description
Senior BI Engineer owning GCP data infrastructure, Python ETL pipelines, and Tableau reporting. Enabling accurate decision-making and AI-ready data across business functions in Latin America.
Responsibilities:
- Own and architect the GCP data environment, including BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Run, and Cloud Storage, partnering with IT on security and access
- Write and maintain Python-based ETL pipelines pulling data from Toggl, Rippling, Xero, and Salesforce into BigQuery
- Own the full Tableau dashboard portfolio, including connections, SQL, refresh schedules, quality control, documentation, and bug resolution
- Build dashboards for executive, director, and operational audiences
- Own data integrity across analytics layers and diagnose whether issues are in pipelines, dashboards, or source systems
- Resolve dashboard breaks and pipeline failures as the first point of contact
- Partner with Business Operations, Finance, People and Talent, Sales, and IT to translate business needs into data solutions
Requirements:
- Proven track record owning a data or reporting platform end to end with minimal oversight
- 8 or more years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or a hybrid of these
- 3 or more years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Run, and Cloud Storage
- Strong Python development experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines
- Advanced SQL skills with experience in cloud data warehouses
- Experience designing and building Tableau dashboards from the ground up
- Ability to independently diagnose data problems across pipeline, dashboard, and source system layers
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Active day-to-day use of AI engineering tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Codex
- English proficiency at B2 level or above
- Preferred: professional services or project-based organization background
- Preferred: experience at organizations with 100 to 500 employees
- Preferred: Azure experience
- Preferred: familiarity with dbt or dimensional modeling
- Preferred: experience supporting executive and director-level reporting
- Cvs must be submitted in English
