Job Description

Sr. Data Scientist advancing AI/ML initiatives for Lyra Health’s evidence-based mental healthcare platform. Building predictive and generative models, data pipelines, and evaluation frameworks for patients, providers, and employers.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Lyra’s Data, Product, Engineering, and Clinical teams on AI/ML initiatives
  • Enhance the Lyra platform to serve the needs of providers and clients
  • Become an expert in diverse data sources and partner with data engineers to build pipelines applying clinical logic to raw data
  • Extract actionable insights and develop predictive and generative models
  • Implement rigorous evaluation frameworks to support product iterations
  • Complete time-sensitive ad hoc data requests for internal and external stakeholders
  • Create a frictionless experience for mental health patients, providers, and employers

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of data analysis in an industry setting
  • Experience in product analytics in the AI/ML space preferred
  • Experience partnering with engineering and product teams
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across technical, business, and ideally clinical domains
  • Understanding of statistical applications and methods, including experimentation, probabilities, and regression
  • Experience applying hypothesis testing in an industry or research setting
  • Experience developing comprehensive analyses using irregular data from disparate sources
  • Strong SQL proficiency, including complex queries with multiple schemas and tables
  • Graduate-level Statistics coursework with MS in a quantitative field preferred
  • Interest in public health is a plus
  • Experience with AI/ML R&D, such as prompt engineering and RAG
  • Experience with Python for cleaning and analyzing data, parsing JSON structured data, calling APIs, creating user-defined functions, and automation
  • Remote-based candidates must be physically located within the United States
