Job Description
Senior Data Scientist developing ML models to enhance Super Dispatch's auto transport solutions. Collaborating across teams to improve recommendation and prediction engines while driving marketplace efficiencies.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build new ML/DL/AI models, algorithms, and pipelines to meet business requirements
- Support and improve existing ML algorithms and pipelines to deliver reliable and scalable solutions
- Write production-quality Python code with comprehensive tests
- Build and evolve transformative, real-time marketplace pricing engines based on machine learning that reflect dynamic market conditions
- Improve existing recommendation and prediction engines by collaborating with key stakeholders (internal and external)
- Conduct use case analysis and automate analytical workflows
- Formulate hypotheses and run analyses to verify them
- Design and build dashboards in Metabase to enable data-driven decision making
- Collaborate with Marketplace Operations and Data Teams to identify and resolve issues using data science and machine learning methodologies
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to improve data collection, processing, error handling, and data normalization
- Provide thought leadership on data science to Product and Engineering Teams with best practices
- Estimate roadmap items and support delivery of company roadmap commitments
- Troubleshoot and fix issues identified in production systems.
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in developing and evolving complex high volume data models
- 3+ years experience with data management platforms including SQL (SSAS), Tableau and Jupyter Notebook and applied experience in data transformation and visualization (Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib, Seaborn)
- Experience with strong Statistics and Mathematics knowledge
- Experience with Machine Learning techniques (Linear Models, Decision Trees, artificial neural networks) and their real-world advantages/disadvantages
- Knowledge of / experience with Python.
