Job Description
Senior Director Analyst producing Master Data Management research and advisory for Gartner, a provider of business and technology insights. Advising enterprise leaders, supporting sales, and presenting actionable market guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Create innovative, thought-provoking, highly leveraged “must-have research” content
- Develop new research and ideas through thought leadership and offer compelling, actionable approaches to client needs
- Develop in-depth analysis to identify root causes of client barriers and reframe thinking to drive strategy
- Establish research positions across a team of analysts
- Bring independent insights to Gartner leaders and evolve research agendas
- Research, analyze, and predict market trends and shifts
- Provide clients and prospects with actionable advice through virtual or face-to-face interactions
- Create and deliver presentation materials for Gartner events, conferences, and client briefings
- Provide sales support and serve as the voice of the market
- Conduct timely, high-quality research content peer reviews
- Represent Gartner research, methodology, and strategy
- Participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions
- Identify research process improvements and develop new processes
- Mentor and coach junior team members
- Help clients engage regularly with Gartner research and interactions
Requirements:
- Subject matter expertise in Master Data Management (MDM) strategy
- Deep understanding of the MDM market, key players, required capabilities, and market evolution
- Detailed knowledge of one or more MDM products
- Bachelor's Degree, Advanced Professional Qualification, or 12+ years of direct experience in a field related to Data and Analytics
- Executive presence and ability to establish credibility with executives and stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Excellent research and writing ability
- Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical, and presentation skills
- Ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions
- Proficiency in analyzing and synthesizing data, applying patterns and frameworks, and defending conclusions
- Ability to explain complex concepts concisely and simply
- Comfortable presenting at large- and small-scale speaking engagements
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Deep knowledge of the global and competitive landscape within the subject area
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams in a multicultural global team
- Learning agility and ability to navigate highly matrixed environments
- Ability to represent Gartner's research methodology and strategies effectively at all levels
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% where applicable
