Job Description

Senior Front-end Developer at Afya transforming healthcare with React and Next.js in a digital health platform. Collaborating with Product and Business teams to deliver scalable web applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance high-performance web applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript, ensuring scalability and an excellent user experience;
  • Architect front-end solutions focused on composability, testability, and reliability, establishing technical standards for the team;
  • Build and maintain automated testing pipelines (unit, integration, and end-to-end) and CI/CD workflows;
  • Create internal tools and automations that increase productivity and quality across the development lifecycle;
  • Implement observability practices, feature flags, and safe rollouts for new features;
  • Participate in solution architecture, contributing to strategic technical decisions;
  • Collaborate with Product and Business teams to deliver value in an agile way.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with React (hooks, context, Server Components) and Next.js (App Router, SSR/ISR/SSG);
  • Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and styling with Tailwind CSS;
  • Experience with state and cache management (React Query, Zustand, or similar);
  • Experience with automated testing: Vitest, Testing Library, and Playwright or Cypress;
  • Proficiency with Git and collaborative versioning workflows;
  • Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Vercel, or similar);
  • Familiarity with observability tools (Sentry, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry);
  • Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) and web performance (Core Web Vitals);
  • Knowledge of Node.js and Python for integrations and automations;
  • Experience with REST and/or GraphQL APIs;
  • Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
