Responsibilities:

  • Design & Build at Scale: Architect and review code for world-class, multi-tenant travel portals that balance reusable white-label foundations with partner-specific customizations.
  • Autonomous Execution: Lead initiatives from concept to deployment. Our group operates with a low-meeting culture, emphasizing deep work, strong alignment, and asynchronous decision-making to maximize engineering velocity.
  • Product Innovation: Collaborate side-by-side with Product Managers and Designers to explore engineering improvements that enhance the user experience and drive partner growth.
  • Cross-Functional Impact: Work seamlessly across Hopper’s ecosystem—integrating with our Scala-based fintech services and GCP infrastructure to bring sophisticated travel features to market.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional Technical Craft: Expert-level proficiency in React and TypeScript, with a deep understanding of component architecture, state management, and web performance.
  • Product-Minded Engineering: You anchor your conception of "quality" in the customer experience and understand how to translate business ambiguity into clear, scalable code.
  • Iterative DNA: A natural drive to deliver results fast. You know how to distinguish between "must-be-perfect" core logic and features that can be evolved through data-driven iteration.
  • Systems Thinking: Experience (or a hunger to learn) managing complex frontends within a distributed systems environment, ensuring reliability for high-stakes partner integrations.
