Job Description
Senior Front End Engineer shaping tested desktop and web experiences for Indonesian fintech Ajaib. Leading front-end architecture, automation, and performance testing across JavaScript/TypeScript applications.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of front-end architectures that elevate user engagement and set new industry standards.
- Drive technical decisions and best practices for desktop application architecture, performance, and reliability.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement effective testing strategies.
- Advocate for and implement industry best practices in front-end development.
- Work alongside backend engineers to develop integration and performance testing solutions.
- Continuously assess and optimize front-end processes using data-driven insights.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Proven experience in front-end development, with a strong focus on testing and automation.
- Experience building desktop applications using Tauri, Electron, or similar frameworks.
- Good understanding of desktop application concepts and OS-specific behavior, particularly macOS and Windows.
- Solid experience with automated testing for JavaScript/TypeScript/Desktop Native applications, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with Rust, CI/CD, application packaging, or desktop application distribution is a plus.
- Experience with modern web technologies and frameworks, such as JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, or similar, is a plus.
- Experience in leading a small team will be a great advantage.
- Good understanding of frontend production infrastructure; experience with Docker or Cloud Services is a plus.
- Well-versed with agile methodologies and clean coding practices.
- Curiosity to understand how systems internally work and hunger to continuously challenge the status quo of the tech stack.
- A keen sense of user interface and user experience design.
