Job Description
Senior Full Stack Engineer building AntragPlus, an AI-powered platform for grant-funding infrastructure. Owning full-stack engineering, production AI pipelines, infrastructure, and technical architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Build and ship end-to-end product features, including the user interface
- Work across the frontend, backend, infrastructure, and AI pipeline
- Collaborate with the grant team to build from real user problems
- Develop usable interfaces for grant writers
- Own problems from discovery through production deployment
- Improve workflows, automation, and the application submission process
- Advance AI capabilities through prompt engineering, context management, cost control, and multi-provider AI setups
- Work with AWS Bedrock, Anthropic, and OpenAI
- Build and operate AI pipelines in production
- Establish the AI evaluation practice, including prompt quality, model selection, and regression detection
- Work with AI agents and tool-calling workflows where applicable
- Operate, monitor, and debug the live production environment
- Work with Sentry, CloudWatch, and Postgres performance monitoring
- Contribute to AWS infrastructure running on ECS and RDS
- Maintain and improve production reliability and performance
- Shape technical architecture, code quality, engineering standards, and the technical roadmap
- Help establish engineering processes and technical standards
- Build scalable technical foundations as one of the first engineering hires
Requirements:
- Several years of professional experience with TypeScript and Node.js
- Strong depth in Postgres, including JSONB, query performance, and migrations
- Full-stack experience with Next.js 15, React Query, Express, BullMQ, AWS (ECS, RDS), and Terraform
- Hands-on experience building and operating AI pipelines in production beyond simply integrating an AI API
- Experience working with LLMs and AI-powered applications
- Strong understanding of prompt engineering, context management, model selection, and AI evaluation
- Strong debugging skills in live production systems
- High autonomy and ownership, with ability to identify problems, develop solutions, and close the loop independently
- Usability-first mindset and ability to build effective end-user interfaces
- Comfortable working in an environment where not everything is fully defined
- AI-native software development approach, with familiarity using Claude Code or Cursor
- German language skills at B1 level or above are nice to have
- Experience with AI agents and tool-calling workflows in production is nice to have
