Job Description
Senior Java Developer building Conduent’s healthcare and pharmacy-benefit microservices platform. Developing Java, Kafka, and scalable transaction systems for distributed teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Java-based applications and microservices
- Build scalable solutions for high-performance transaction systems
- Develop and support event-driven applications and integrations using Apache Kafka
- Collaborate in Agile planning, estimation, and design sessions
- Partner with product and project teams to provide technical estimates and updates
- Troubleshoot complex production and system issues
- Drive development tasks independently with minimal supervision
- Work with distributed teams across multiple time zones
- Report critical issues clearly and proactively
- Support system architecture and hands-on development
- Conduct peer code reviews and mentor junior developers
- Ensure adherence to security standards and best practices
Requirements:
- 6+ years of software development experience
- Strong expertise in Java, J2EE, JDBC, Spring, and Spring Boot
- Experience with SOAP/REST web services and microservices architecture
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven/messaging architectures
- Experience with Struts, Spring MVC, and ESB technologies such as Camel/Fuse
- Knowledge of OAuth2, SAML, and OpenID authentication protocols
- Experience developing front-end components with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and modern frameworks
- Experience with Git, SVN, Maven, Bamboo, and Jenkins
- Ability to write optimized Oracle SQL queries
- Knowledge of system design, architecture, and security best practices
- Ability to solve complex technical problems and learn new technologies quickly
- Ability to work with distributed teams and manage priorities independently
- At least 3+ years of U.S.-based experience
- 10+ years of overall industry experience
- Azure configurations experience is preferred
- Familiarity with AWS, Hibernate, Spring Batch, and Airflow or similar data processing tools is preferred
- Healthcare, Medicaid, claims, pharmacy benefits, or insurance platform experience is preferred
