Job Description
Senior Java Engineer developing secure back-end eCustoms software for EU institutions and governments. Designing APIs, integrations, cloud systems, and scalable business applications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop back-end web applications
- Design and implement core business logic, high-performance servers, and databases
- Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and optimized across multiple platforms
- Design and develop APIs for communication between systems
- Collaborate with developers on scalable software solutions
- Lead key projects from concept to completion
- Maintain code quality, fix bugs, and enhance functionality
- Analyze data, processes, and code to identify improvements and troubleshoot issues
- Create and maintain technical documentation
Requirements:
- A university degree in IT
- Minimum 9 years of professional experience in development
- Expertise in Java 8+, Spring, Spring Boot, Java EE, and Hibernate
- Experience with Oracle Service Bus, Oracle DB, and RDBMS database technology
- Understanding of OpenID Connect, SSO, and integration techniques
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud development
- Expertise in Kafka, ActiveMQ, JMS, REST APIs, and SOAP APIs
- Experience with tools like Secunda and IOP IAM
- Advanced knowledge of Procurement and Grant Management business domains
- Understanding of Oracle WebLogic Server, Apache, SSL/TLS, and reverse proxy configuration
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Bamboo, and Docker
- Knowledge of Git
- Fluent in English
- Blockchain technologies, NoSQL databases, Angular, TypeScript, and front-end technologies are advantageous
- Proficiency in French is advantageous
