Job Description
Senior Java Engineer building Java/Spring Boot integration services for Arionkoder, an AI consulting firm. Maintaining REST APIs, testing, observability, and production quality.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Java 17 and Spring Boot
- Build and maintain integrations with third-party REST APIs, including model mapping, contract versioning, and deserialization
- Write unit and integration tests and maintain solid test coverage
- Work on error handling, structured logging, and observability
- Participate in code reviews and propose architecture and quality improvements
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot
- Solid experience building and consuming REST APIs
- Experience integrating third-party services
- Testing discipline: JUnit, integration tests, CI management
- Proficiency with Gradle or Maven, Git, and working in large codebases
- Professional English, spoken and written, for distributed-team asynchronous communication
- Nice to have: experience with observability, including OpenTelemetry, metrics, and tracing
- Nice to have: experience with AWS
- Nice to have: experience working with US enterprise clients
