Job Description
Senior Mechanical Engineer leading LNG storage tank design and evaluation for Bantrel’s Canadian EPC/EPCM energy projects. Flexible part-time, on-call role available remotely within Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate LNG Tank specifications and data sheets
- Lead LNG Tank design and evaluation
- Review LNG Tank deliverables including data sheets, specifications, and material requisitions
- Coordinate assigned work with other technical personnel
- Review equipment manufacturer and subcontractor design documents and prepare comments and recommendations
- Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings, and data prepared by engineers, specialists, or suppliers
- Apply engineering department procedures to projects
- Apply design standards and guides for LNG Storage Tanks

Requirements:
- Recognized mechanical engineering degree from an accredited university
- Registration as a Professional Engineer
- 10 to 15 years of relevant LNG Storage Tank design experience
- Experience in LNG project pressure equipment or in an operating LNG plant is considered an asset
- Knowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards such as CSA Z276, ASME, ASTM, API 620/625, etc.
- Successful clearance of applicable pre-employment checks may include Criminal Background/Police Information check, Drug & Alcohol test, Reference checks, and submittal of Provincial Driver’s Abstract
