Job Description
Senior Platform Engineer building scalable platform infrastructure for DoiT’s multicloud customers. Automating Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and cloud operations across GCP and AWS.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and evolve foundational software and services for product and development teams
- Collaborate with peers through code reviews, mentorship, and unified technical direction
- Support feature teams and facilitate adoption of platform features
- Architect, design, implement, test, and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Deploy, configure, maintain, monitor, and optimize Kubernetes clusters on GCP GKE and AWS EKS
- Design and maintain CI/CD systems using tools such as Argo CD or Atlantis
- Diagnose and resolve performance, scalability, and security issues
- Create incident response plans and post-mortem analyses
- Drive automation of infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and operational tasks
- Partner with development teams to understand infrastructure and developer experience needs
- Develop internal platform tools, APIs, and services throughout the software development lifecycle
- Implement security controls, vulnerability management, data encryption, compliance measures, security audits, and penetration testing
Requirements:
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with proven hands-on coding experience
- 6+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps engineering, or related roles
- Strong hands-on experience with GCP/AWS, Kubernetes (GKE/EKS), and Terraform
- Experience building and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure
- Coding proficiency in Go or TypeScript (or other relevant languages), including data structures, algorithms, and defensive programming
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Argo CD, Atlantis, or similar technologies
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Extensive experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively in a remote and distributed team environment
- Prior experience working specifically on platform engineering projects
